Call for sites 2018

Surrey Heath Borough Council's 'Call for Sites' 2018  began on the 4th of June and ended on the 30th of July 2018. The 'Call for Sites' helps the Council to identify land within the borough that may have potential for development over this period. Sites that have been submitted will be considered for inclusion in the Council’s Strategic Land Availability Assessment (SLAA) 2018 which will serve as part of the borough’s evidence base, documenting Surrey Heath’s land supply to 2032.

The SLAA considers sites for housing including self/custom build schemes, starter homes, affordable housing, Gypsy and Traveller accommodation, as well as economic land uses and a range of other development types. For more detailed information about the specific range of uses the SLAA covers, please refer to the Surrey Heath SLAA Methodology 2018, which will be used as a basis for assessing sites submitted to the Council.

Sites that have been submitted will also be considered for inclusion in the Surrey Heath Brownfield Land Register 2018, which will be informed by the Council's SLAA 2018. To be included in the register, sites must be assessed against the criteria set out in Regulation 4 of the Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017. If a site is explicitly requested for the inclusion in the Brownfield Land Register in response to the call for sites 2018, the site will be assessed in accordance with this criteria.
